About this deal

Masking fluid can be used with Brusho paints or inks, just paint using a ruling pen or silicone applicator or an old brush onto the paper and leave to dry. Use clear wax crayons to let the white paper show through or try coloured wax crayons for a fun under-drawing. However, as an added protection for Brusho or any other watercolour paintings from damage caused by dust, dirt, humidity, UV radiation, smoke, scuffs and scratches - we recommend using a high quality UV spray.

I used waterbrushes throughout for ease of cleaning, and because I’m leery about using my watercolor brushes with inks.Respiratory - None volatile but as appropriate to the situation and the quantity handled in powder form.

p>Made in the UK, the highly pigmented watercolour crystals react to water to create interesting watercolour effects. Using Brusho colours is very similar to using watercolour paint, and most of the traditional watercolour painting techniques are exactly the same.

If you look back at the dilute brush area where I accidentally dropped salt – that’s the effect I was going for. It is a quick fun project that is also tremendously helpful in building the skills you need in your painting arsenal. You can simply sprinkle the powders over Brusho Crystal Colourand then, once spritzed with water, they will create amazing effects. To convert Brusho powders into watercolour paint, you simply decant a very small amount of pigment powder into the wells of your palette and with a small brush add a little amount of cold water, the pigment powder will mix instantly into a liquid paint.

Please note, due to the nature of the pigment powder, colours may appear different in their raw state - for example Leaf Green will appear Yellow. Traditional watercolour painting can be stressful at times; there are lots of opportunities for the painting to go wrong. Brusho paints can be layered on top of each other exactly the same way as ordinary watercolour, with each layer affecting the colour below.Joanne Thomas is perhaps the only art tutor in the world that teaches budding artists to create expressive, contemporary watercolours with Brusho. The thickened coloured pigment can then be applied in glazes of colour, to change the original colour of a painting.
