About this deal

Their next album, 13 (1999) saw the band experimenting with electronic and gospel music, and featured more personal lyrics from Albarn. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. It wasn’t until Graham Coxon reprised these sessions and presented them to long-time producer Stephen Street, who went on to develop them with the guitarist, that they realised they might have material worthy of a new album. We are available to book for live shows and events, as well as bespoke licensed music for videos, commercials, TV, film and more. The record came sealed and appears to be the above version in every conceivable way (even has the obi), but has no poster or download card. The package itself is something else too, there’s an Asian influence, possibly as recordings were made in Hong Kong, the sleeve is beautiful and even has an Obi strip like vinyl from Japan. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. It's an alternative rock band's album alright, but no particular sound is overpowering another; Damon's voice so perfectly compliments the instruments, as the instruments dance with his voice.

The album will connect to everyone in a different way, but it sounded like Broken Bell's outer space sound, combined with Damon's Britpop flavor, and a lot more electronic sounds you've heard with other Blur works. Their eighth album, The Magic Whip (2015), was the sixth consecutive Blur studio album to top the British chart. It wasn't until Graham Coxon reprised these sessions and presented them to long-time producer Stephen Street, who went on to develop them with the guitarist, that they realised they might have material worthy of a new album. Anyway on listening to The Magic Whip today, it opens with the Blur sound we’re familiar with from the early to mid 90s.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

There’s a double sided giant poster, two printed inner sleeves, a mirror on the rear of the heavy card matt gatefold sleeve and a download card. Initially conceived in Hong Kong, during downtime following a cancelled show in Japan, the band spent five days laying down ideas. I was a little turned off originally when I heard "ice cream man" but the rest of the music is top notch. It’s fantastic, but compared to the two new songs they’ve released in 2023, it feels incredibly transitional. The Magic Whip is the upcoming eighth studio album by the English rock band Blur, which will be released on 27 April 2015. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

However, the entire festival was cancelled for unknown reasons, leaving the band stranded in Hong Kong for an extra 5 days. Songs on The Magic Whip mention internet hotspots, satellite showers, industrial light and glass arcades. I don't have a clever ice cream or Blur reference to end this review on, but this album is a flavor of music we've been missing that has brought clarity to my cloud-filled album library. In the edit page, go to the 'Metadata' tab and add your Juno artist, label or release page for listeners to purchase your release / releases.

With a few exceptions - the playful Ong Ong, the 1994 time warp Lonesome Street - the album is a moody affair, capturing the bristling tension of later Blur albums. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. In the following months, Albarn had stated in interviews that he was unsure whether the resulting music would ever be released. Not sure what exactly I've got here--I'm pretty sure it's not a boot (haven't heard tell of or seen boots of this one, and the packaging is beautiful, way higher quality than any boot I've ever seen), so is it a brand new repress or something else?
