About this deal

Measuring 201 x 74 x 5cm when inflated, the IForrest includes both an integrated pillow and armrests for significant added comfort. Packed size is very small indeed (38 x 15 cm) because the deflated armrests can be folded in and the whole SIM rolled up tightly.

I’ve found the quickest method of packing away is as follows, but I take no responsibility for you doing the same. In fact it’s a little too eager to please because it can be a bit of a difficult job to get air out of when packing up. The Shangri-La is exceptionally easy to inflate and deflate, and this is one of its major strengths. Has no R rating and have only ever used this on summer wild camps and wouldn’t use this on late autumn/ winter wild camps as would be too cold. EASY TO INFLATE - Take the stress out of sleeping, use the quick release push valve to easy inflate your mat, so you'll be in bed in no time.Extremely compact, the Berghaus Peak Compact Self-Inflating Mat is barely noticeable in an expedition pack. Finally, it’s worth bearing in mind that you can add R-Values, so sleeping on two sleeping pads will maintain your heat better than one. Did well down to -3C but wouldn't push it much further as if you're a side sleeper like me your hip bones might compress it a bit too much to stay warm on the pressure point.

I'm new to ultralight gear and I'm not 100% certain these count but they're certainly a lot lighter than other options.Kampa have made it exceptionally easy to inflate and deflate the Kip Highrise, and this is one of its major strengths.

One specification we’ve been unable to find out is the R-Factor and as a result we would recommend always using it on a camp bed base. Right up there with my old seatosummit mat which costs nearly twice as much, yet even more packable. The Decathlon Quechua Luxury SIM is an 8cm thick self inflating mattress which has an excellent R-rating of 8. If there are any issues with the valve or unexpected deflations in the night then they will unhesitatingly repair or replace your treasured SIM. I like the trekology has a lot more thickness as I'm a side sleeper and very thin (or maybe I'm just ultralight). I first gave it an outing when we went to the Long Mynd (Church Stretton, Shropshire) in February, where we ended up pitching in the snow and it got down to a toasty -2 degrees inside the tent. This lightweight and self-inflating sleeping mat is designed for those who need to keep weight and space to a minimum.
